Our Services

Repairing or restoring a favorite pinball machine, be it EM (electro-mechanical) or solid-state, is one of our specialties. Taking a game into the shop that has not seen any work or repair done to it in 15, 25 or 50 years is truly fun. Typically, these games do not work and have playfield rubber falling off, perhaps paint missing, pieces of plastic broken, no working lights, and just have not seen any love in many years. We take great pride in bringing these types of games which are sometimes family herilooms back to life. The level of restoration is determined by the owner. Take a look at some of the before and after pictures in our gallery to see how we can restore your game into a show piece. There are vast levels of differences in restorations; from complete playfield stripping, cleaning and buffing all metal, to playfield touchup and cabinet stenciling. Specific details are discussed with the client to ensure complete satisfaction. Whether it is a refurbishing or a full restoration, all electronics in the game are adjusted for reliable game use. Some of these games have existed for over 50 years so components need to be replaced, resoldered, upgraded, or adjusted in order for the game to continue to function correctly.

On Site Repairs

We offer a competitive hourly rate for on-site (home or business) services. Our hourly rate applies to time spent working on your game. Parts and supplies are additional. We are available by appointment.

On-site repairs on previously well maintained arcade games typically take about an hour. However, there are many cases where the work required can take more than one trip to repair a machine. Parts are often times require special order; the first trip is usually to diagnose the problems that exist in the game and obtain a list of parts to order. The second trip is to install the new parts, assemble, and manually test and/or run full diagnostics.

*Repair work is warrantied for 30 days. For a repair to be covered under warranty it must be the exact same failure and exact same parts or components that were originally serviced. All rates start with a minimum of one hour. Parts are not included.

In Shop Servicing

Maine Pinball Repair can pick up and deliver your game for a fee. As each pickup and delivery is unique, rates vary. Game drop off to the shop is available by appointment only.

In-Shop Repairs $65/hr*
Full shop jobs vary for each specific game. This is dependant on overall condition of the playfield both ball side and the components underneath. Electronic circuit board condition and viability needs to also be accessed. This is discussed in detail with the owner previous to work starting.
Storage of games after work is completed is $100/wk after the first notification for pick up is made to the owner.
